I was a lucky one. Since the time I was child, I knew what I wanted do. I wasn’t sure about the questions of how, where or when, I just knew I was going to fish and hunt for the rest of my life. Over 30 years later, I have created my reality and have been given a life to live outdoors. Blessed to grow up in a hunting and fishing family that encouraged my interests, even as a child, I truly knew what passion felt like.
Over 20 years ago, I made my home here in Montana. I started guiding out of the pure love of continuing to experience those special moments in nature and I feel that is what has made a difference in transposing my philosophies, values and principals to my clients. As time passed, I wanted to make sure that if I couldn’t be the one to share this world all the time with my guests, then I would cultivate a group of dedicated, passion driven, like-minded people who could help me deliver those same feelings to folks from across the globe. I realized that there was a needed niche in our outfitting and guiding world to assemble only certain men and women who could not only deliver my message, but who live it on a daily basis.
I have hand picked every person who represents my company, and myself. They are, simply put, the finest guides in the industry and I am sincerely willing to guarantee it. Thanks to my talented and dedicated staff, I now operate one of the most successful outfitting businesses in Western Montana, with over 85% repeat clientele annually. We have stayed at the forefront of our industry and continue to strive to always do better to deliver customer satisfaction while maintaining our integrity and the love of the game we play. I have no reservations about saying that Latitudes Outfitting Co. will remain at the top of our business to bring the next generations into the world of outdoors that we truly love unconditionally.
As a 5th generation Montana native, Lindsey was born and raised in Missoula. A few years after graduating high school and moving to Southern California to further her education, she realized that Montana would always be home and never takes a day living in this beautiful state, and the Bitterroot Valley, for granted.
As a wife and a mother of two young boys, there is never a dull moment. Summers are spent fishing and boating at the family cabin, fall is for hunting and football. In the winter, you will find her and her family at one of the local ski hills, or escaping to a beach and sunshine. Basketball season takes us into spring and then anticipation for summer fun begins again.
There is nothing that Lindsey loves more than helping to plan an excursion. Reach out to her and let her assist in your Montana adventure planning today!

He has been in education for 22 years; 10 years as a teacher and 12 years as an Assistant Principal/Principal. He has taught in Ronan, Havre, and Corvallis. In his spare time, Jason also coaches HS Boys Basketball as well as Middle School Boys and Girls Basketball.
Jason has been married for 24 years to his wife Heather. He has two children; a 19 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. During the winter months, you will find Jason and his kids every Sunday up at Lost Trail skiing. Jason values every day he gets to be on the water, whether it is for fun or for work. If you've ever gone out on the water with Jason, you can feel his passion for the outdoors, for the work he does, and for educating others.
“Sharing this experience with others is so gratifying and I look forward to each and every day in the outdoors. I chose to start guiding because I wanted to be out on the water everyday and guiding was a way to accomplish this. I get as much joy watching others catch fish as I do when I catch them.”
I was born in Missoula, MT and am going on 36 years old. I started fly fishing at age 12 and have spent the last 24 years fly fishing Montana’s rivers, streams, and lakes.
The 2023 season will mark my 9th season as a guide as well as my 9th season with Latitudes’s Outfitting Co. Prior to my career as a guide I spent 8 seasons working with the US Forest Service. Specifically working in Fisheries biology. I acquired a vast knowledge of trout, trout habitat, stream ecology, and river dynamics.
My boat often consists of a dog on board. An array of cold beverages. An endless selection of flies for every possible situation. Good vibes and a positive mindset. I approach every guide trip with a no trout left behind mentality.
As an avid bow hunter September is not the month to book me. As I can not be found near the rivers and will most definitely be deep in the mountains of Montana pursuing elk with bow in hand.
My free time growing up was spent on the river or in the mountains fishing, hunting, hiking, or snowboarding. I started coaching snowboarding and skiing lessons in the winter of the ‘04/‘05 season. Years later I was certified as a Level 3 instructor. This process taught me a great deal in both teaching concepts as well as learning concepts that have transferred over to my guiding.
I enjoy sharing moments with others on the river and watching different anglers progress their abilities. But I still truly believe the best anglers are the ones having the most fun. Though I do take guiding fishing serious, it’s still just fishing and should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Whether a first time beginner or the most experienced trout angler, we’ll find a way to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Born in Missoula, Jake landed his first fish at age 2, on the Middle Fork of the Flathead river near his family cabin and was hooked forever. He grew up fishing the rivers of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming; he has guided on the Kenai in Alaska for years; and now earns his living primarily in western Montana, and Southern Oregon, Jake is known for his easy sense of humor; for being a patient and encouraging teacher; his custom flies that he ties himself, and for rustling up epic lunches.
With wife Ashley and son Evan, Jake makes his home near Alberton, near some reliable Clark Fork trout and pike honey holes. With parents and grandparents in Stevensville and Great Falls, Jake’s experience on the Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Clark Fork and Missouri pays off in perfect days for his clients. Jake enjoys sharing his love for swinging bugs and the beauty of Montana with locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a beginner, Jake will put you on the fish.
Let’s just say that I live for the outdoors! I grew up in Ohio hunting and fishing with my father like most boys in the midwest. As I grew older, late teens, I took up backpacking and longed to head west. At age 20, myself and two friends drove across the country to see the mountains. We eventually landed in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. We loaded our packs and hiked up into the unknown. After finding a suitable camp, we dropped our packs, and two of us went in search of water. Not long after finding water and heading back towards camp we realized we were lost. We ended up spending most of the night, before being found by search and rescue, cold and without supplies! This was the fuel to my fire!
Fast forward over three decades. I have spent a lot of my adult life obsessively acquiring hunting, fishing, and survival knowledge and skills. One of the things that I most enjoy these days is passing this knowledge onto hunting and fishing clients, along with my two beautiful daughters. Nothing gives me more pleasure than helping to spark a fire for the outdoors into someone else. After over 15 years experience as a guide and head guide in Ohio, I crossed paths with Latitudes owner Robert Gary. A few trips to visit Robert later, my wife of more than 25 years and I decided to make Montana our home. My dream of living and working in the mountains was coming true.
My passion for the outdoors also led me to pursue adventure photography and videography. I realized some hunting and fishing adventures may be out of reach for me, but if I worked hard enough, maybe I would be able to follow more fortunate folks on their adventures. My dedication and hard work paid off. I am now a nationally publicized photographer with clients including outdoor brands such as Yeti, Sitka Gear, and Leupold Optics. My images have graced the cover of magazines such as Eastman’s Hunting Journal and many others. Most of the images on this site have been captured on one of my clients adventures. (www.dwilsonphotos.com).
These days I find myself either rowing clients down a river, following some hunter on an epic backcountry hunt with a camera, or honestly my favorite, spending time in the outdoors of Montana with my wife and two girls.
At 29 years young, fishing and hunting is all I’ve ever known. I was born and raised in Hamilton, Montana. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have had such incredible parents that supported my brother and I in any outdoor activity we ever chose to pursue whether it was a school sport, hunting, fishing, skiing, mountain biking, my parents were there to help teach us. Since I could walk, I’ve been attached at the hip to the outdoors.
After being a Wildland Firefighter for 6 years with the USFS, I decided to hang up the boots to chase a dream that I had always put off. I could never really commit to making my hobbies work in fear of ruining what I’ve loved and done since a kid.
Now going on my 6th year as a guide with Latitudes, I can say that taking a risk and trying to make my dream a reality in doing what I love everyday and sharing that with people every chance I get, was the best decision and leap of faith that I have ever made. I have created endless relationships and memories with people in the last 6 years of guiding hunting and fishing that are irreplaceable. I wouldn’t trade this life for the world. My respect and appreciation for the wildlife that inhabits this earth has grown tremendously every year of my life. Our natural resource is what supports my way of living and for this I take every aspect of it very seriously. The health and management of our wildlife is just as important to me as my own family. Without it, we wouldn’t exist as human beings today.
My hope for the future is to continue thriving, teaching, and sharing in these incredible experiences with people from all over the world until the day I die.
